Candice Accola Talks to Orlando Magazine
Candice Accola who plays Caroline Forbes in VD talked to Orlando Magazine.
When Candice Accola is performing in a scene on The Vampire Diaries—playing high-school student Caroline Forbes—she often thinks about Orlando.
Specifically, the 22-year-old actress thinks back to the days when she was a real-life high-school student at Lake Highland Preparatory School. In fact, she says that reflecting on “the dynamics of the girls” in her old classes helps her to figure out how to play her mean-girl character on the CW television series.
“In every high school there’s going to be cliques,” Accola explains during a recent visit home from Atlanta. “Some people are a little more snarky than others. They say one thing to your face and then another thing behind your back. I’ve definitely had experiences with those kinds of girls, and now I’m playing one.”
5 Questions with Nina Dobrev
TheTVaddiction has their top 5 questions with Nina Dobrev (Plays Elena).
1. From DEGRASSI to VAMPIRE DIARIES, how have you evolved as an actor?
Nina Dobrev: I’m a lot more tired and sleep deprived [laughs]. I think I’ve gained a comfortability, and a comfort on set where I’ve gotten to know this character and gotten to know the crew. We’ve all grown on set and developed a pattern on set that lends itself to me taking on a lot more now. I’m more confident and I feel like I can pick up a script, read it, analyze it, and feel good knowing that when get in there, I’ll do the best that I can and it will translate and it works.2. What was high school like for you?
I went to a performing arts high school, so I basically lived Fame. There was a lot of competition, but it was very productive. I met a lot of really cool people, I got to perform and that’s how I got started in the business. In terms of my personality, I’ve always been sort of happy with who I am now and what I was doing. I had a really great group of friends that I still have now and still hang out from High School so it was good.
Paul Wesley Talks to The Mirror
Paul Wesley talked to the mirror about how blessed over fans.
Paul Wesley says he feels “blessed and fortunate” that people enjoy The Vampire Diaries.
The actor, who plays Stefan Salvatore, hit the red carpet in Beverly Hills to meet fans at a special Q and A as part of the Paley Centre for Media’s PaleyFest 2010.
“You get involved with so many projects and sometimes they’re great but nobody watches them,” he explained. “The fact that we have such a loyal fan base is an amazing blessing.”
He added: “There are a lot of great things out there just never catch on, we’re very fortunate.
“I think what the audience really loves about the show is how layered it is in terms of very gentle sarcasm and comedy. It just doesn’t take itself too seriously but yet serious enough. We’re all really proud of it.”
Paul also admitted he’s had to get used to the Robert Pattinson effect, with girls getting over-excited when they meet him.
“We’ve had a bunch of fans at malls [going crazy] and it’s really flattering,” he said.
